Tips for Sandown - Thurs 28th Jan
Race 1: 1 / Ryker Bale - Has pace to lead early in this race and should prove difficult to run down.
Race 2: 2 / Cosmic Planet - Scorched the sand at The Meadows to score in an impressive 29.91. If it can rpelicate that run, should be very hard to beat.
Race 3: 5 / Rev Limiter - Has a nice PB here of 29.81 and doesn't need to replicate that to win. Mick The Mozz a threat, but the dog has had 5 runs at this track/distance for not a single placing.
Race 4: 1 / Violet Crumble - Should get plenty of room to move here and has some serious pace. Hard to beat, best bet of the night.
Race 5: 5 / Shiver Inside - Beautfilly bred (Brett Lee X Leprechaun Yap), and has a 29.80 sizzling PB over this trip. Threat.
Race 6: 1 / Banger Harvey - Scored an impressive 29.91 win last week from the 7 box, and will appreciate this draw much more. If the dog can find the lead early, expect it to hold on. Proven Jett is a serious threat also, scored a SUPER 29.61 here last week but isn't drawn to perfection in box 4 and can sometimes miss the kick.
Race 7: 8 / Kilrush - Has the pace to burn them here and is drawn to get a clear run from the eight. With little trouble and some luck, should find itself in with a big chance.
Race 8: 7 / Jarvis Bale - Scored a super impressive 42.18 win last week, and with a clear run should figure in the finish. Next Top Model a threat, but if the eight doesn't jump the 7 (Jarvis Bale) will benefit greatly.
Race 9: 1 / Sydnie Allen - Pacy beginner who could run a cheeky race out infront. Not up against a field of classy runners, so a very winnable race here.
Race 10: 3 / Another Innings - Winnable race here but will need to rely on luck with the leader highly likely to run out of gas in this race. If given a clear run, and not stuck behind the leader; is a super chance.
Race 11: 7 / Seeing Ghosts - Another one from the 100th Brett Lee X Leprechaun Yap mating :D, scored a solid win at The Meadows last start and with some luck should figure in the finish.

Arvo Maria! Arvo's Florence wins Cranbourne Cup

Winning at a juicy price of $9.10, Arvo's Florence put paid to a really talented field on Monday night. The dog finished ahead 3.75 lengths from his nearest rival Ultra Rumble, who hails from the powerful D. McDonald kennel. Curwen Walker who came out from the five box, rounded up the placings finishing third by 1 & 3/4 lengths away from Ultra Rumble. It was a super run, stopping the clock at 30.17.

Cranbourne Cup Final - Mon 25th Jan
The Cranbourne Cup Final, a group 2 race, is being staged on Monday night. Several big name dogs are in the field such as Fedex & Ultra Rumble, so it promises to be a cracking final.
The field is as follows, with my comments on the right:
Bx1 / Stagger Inn - Not a fast beginner, but has mid race pace and with room could finish in the placings.
Bx2 / Book Of Music - On paper looks the early leader, but can it hold on? Don't think it can with this field chasing it down, unless some obvious trouble occurs behind it.
Bx3 / Atomic Voodoo - Honest greyhound who gives his best the majority of the time. Could run into the placings, will be tough.
Bx4 / Fedex - The class greyhound of the race and should get a nice run throughout the trip. Looks to be looming just behind Book Of Music just after the start and should get endless room to move. Threat.
Bx5 / Curwen Walker - Will get behind straight after the start here and for this reason alone I suggest to stay away. With a clear run, could finish in the placings at best.
Bx6 / Blitzem Bale - Doesn't mind the Cranbourne track and has shown some signs of serious speed. Needs to get a pacy start to figure in the finish though here.
Bx7 / Arvo's Florence - Has been placed in all 3 trips over this track, with a sizzling PB of 30.26. If it can run near that, it should figure in the placings. Clear run is vital.
Bx8 / Ultra Rumble - Should get a semi-clean run from the eight and has some serious speed coming from the D.McDonald kennel. A certain threat here, has a huge chance if given room to move which it should.
Re9 / Sydnie Allen - Quick beginner who could be a chance if given the numer one or two rug.
Re10 / Prince Fuser - Not speedy enough, unlikely to gain a start as the second reserve.
